Follow us on our journey with Smol & Cozy, a new venture idea that began within the Ivey Business School and unfolded into our first investor pitch at the Ivey Field Project. From ideation to the creation of the venture, we are a team that is driven by a shared vision to reinvent safety and sustainability of children's stuffed toys.
In our final year of study at the Ivey Business School, our dedicated team of six, lead by our founder Sabrina, embarked on a collective mission to create stuffed toys suitable for everyone, regardless of their age or health conditions. This mission was derived from our founder's experience, or her lack of experience with stuffed toys as a young child due to her dust allergies. Understanding that many in the world that loves stuffed toys are also facing similar health problems, Smol & Cozy worked towards creating hypoallergenic, non-toxic, and non-shedding stuffed toys made from sustainable fabrics, allowing all stuffed toy lovers to find their own stuffed toy buddies. Guided by faculty expertise and mentored by industry professionals, we delved into the challenge of redefining the essence of these cherished childhood companions.
Smol & Cozy emerged as our solution to the prevailing safety issues in the market. The mission was clear:

The culmination of our collaborative efforts took center stage during the investor pitch at the Ivey Field Project, where we presented our vision to the faculty and industry experts. The pitch wasn't just about seeking validation; it was about embracing constructive critiques that would shape our trajectory. Each team member brought a unique perspective, skill set, and unwavering dedication to the table. Together, we infused our pitch with diversity, creativity, and a shared dream of making Smol & Cozy a reality.
